How Much Time IRCTC Takes to Refund Money?
IRCTC may take around 3 to 4 days to refund your amount to your account through which you have booked your tickets. In normal cases they refund your amount quickly within 2 to 3 days or 72 hours if your transaction gets failed while booking a ticket or your canceled a booked ticket.
Due to heavy load of money transactions during peak season bank may take around a week or 7 days of time to issue the refunds.

Yes brother this is the biggest issue here, still newbie trying hard to get a confirmed tickets but unfortunately the seats are limited and many users need to cancel their tickets due to unconfirmed tickets. Here is my short effort about the refund timings as thousands of users asking this again and again as they are not getting a proper answer. I hope my little effort with make newbie IRCTC users relaxed. Thanks for your comment.
