April 9, 2019 by Atul Kumar Pandey

JEE Main 2019 Paper 1 for the April session has commenced. The first day of the examination was conducted on April 8 by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in two shifts at 470 centres across the country (including nine outside India). And as a result, there are different students’ reactions and feedbacks collected from different JEE Main Exam centres to provide a complete paper analysis of JEE Main exam to engineering aspirants.

IIT JEE

When asked by the students, the overall paper was difficult in both the shifts. Talking about the toughest section in both the shifts was Mathematics while the Physics section was of medium difficulty but time-consuming in both shifts.

The easiest section was chemistry according to the feedback given by the students. However, in the Chemistry Paper, some of the questions were taken directly from the NCERT books of CBSE class 11 and class 12. In this post, we’ll discuss JEE Main Paper Analysis so that more students will have a fair idea of the upcoming exam shifts.

Pre-Exam Reaction

Most of the candidates are concerning about Mathematics which is indeed a tough one and are hoping for good scores. Many of the candidates had already attempted the January session of the examination so they have a little glimpse of what can be asked in the examination. For preparation, students used NCERT books of Class 11th and 12th.

Paper 1 Students Reaction (Afternoon Session)

As per the majority of the students, this session was easier than the first. However, the Mathematics section was tougher than the January session. Also, students found aptitude and drawing section easier while Mathematics was tougher likewise the previous session. Questions from Mathematics were mostly from the 11th and 12th standard syllabus.

The questions of general aptitude were easy as they were majorly related to stops views, isometric projections, side views, etc. From general knowledge section, there were around 10 questions like normal buildings and structures.

The Physics section was of medium level, but it was a bit time-consuming. The Chemistry section was a bit easy. Coming to the drawing section- there were questions like drawing a restaurant view, copying a figure of a girl as it is, and lastly a design of a photo frame by using only cubes and stencils.

Paper 1 Students Reaction (Forenoon Session)

The overall examination was of moderate difficulty, claimed by most of the aspirants. While the aptitude and drawing section was easy, Mathematics took a lot of time due to tough questions being asked. General knowledge questions were asked in the aptitude section while Mathematics had probability problems, conic, integration, and more. Coming to the drawing section, a flower had to be made, a figure had to be made out of a cube, and a table cloth had to be designed in the third question.

About the JEE Main Exam

The second phase of JEE Main 2019 (Paper I, II) was to be conducted from April 7 to 12 in two shifts, i.e., First Shift (9:30 AM to 12:30 PM) and Second Shift (2:30 PM to 5:30 PM). On 8 April 2019, paper one has been successfully conducted, and after the JEE Main paper analysis, most students faced difficulty while attempting Mathematics.

In the January month, the national testing agency (NTA) has successfully conducted the first session of JEE Main 2019. And the result for the same has been already declared by NTA. However, students were able to check only the standardised score. Once the JEE Main April 2019 Exam is completed, the ranks of candidates will be released after comparing better of the two NTA Scores of all candidates appeared in Jan 2019 and April 2019 examinations.
